Life Services Diversity Conference -
Tuesday, May 18 - Wednesday, May 19
On May 18-19, 2010, Diversity Alliance for Science, Inc., a non-profit organization created to develop, support, and mentor diverse woman-, minority-, veteran/disabled-, HubZone-, and GLBT-owned life sciences businesses, will host its third annual networking conference and EXPO event. The two-day event will be held at the Newark Liberty International Airport Renaissance Hotel in Newark, N.J. and will feature senior government officials, top-level pharmaceutical executives, and CEOs of diverse scientific and clinical enterprises, and other great guest speakers. The conference limits participation to 300 invitees to facilitate networking and relationship building and to enable smaller diverse companies to have a higher profile.
The conference will provide a forum for participants to collaborate on best practices in fostering the inclusion of diverse businesses in clinical trials and scientific research. This networking conference will include panels on the changing demographics of the U.S. population, the impact of the current economic crisis, and developing strategies to differentiate and effectively mentor diverse suppliers. A series of workshops will feature discussions on a variety of topics, more details to follow. The EXPO will include an interactive tradeshow where attending corporations can meet leading diverse suppliers providing products and services to the life sciences industry.
The conference will be a terrific opportunity to foster effective, mutually beneficial partnerships between diverse suppliers and large pharmaceutical companies. Please check back as we continually work to update our website as more information becomes available.
